This is the first time I have every attended an event like this and I have to say it was great. I loved it. I was very nervous at first… my Social Anxiety was sitting there yelling at me, “You cannot be here!!!” but I fought through it and had a blast.

Top of my joys was all the people I met, some of whom seemed as much a neophyte as I was. This relaxed me and helped me ease into it.

The only thing I was a little upset about was that I sent emails to about five people, inviting them, but they did not show. To be honest, though… I don’t think I really expected them to. But there was the hope that they could get over whatever it was that pulled us apart and make the effort. And the fact they did not tells me that those are paths that I should now, officially, abandon. 🙂
